Salem’s Historic Grand Theater is offering a Level 1 improv comedy class for any beginners wanting to learn the skills of improvisation or folks looking for a fun way to dip their toes into performance.Improvisation is all about using everything for inspiration and developing engaging, fun, and hilarious scenes at the drop of a hat. It may seem daunting at first, but that’s what makes our beginner class perfect for those who want to challenge themselves with learning a wide variety of new skills. You’ll develop synergy with your fellow classmates, work on listening while making your ideas heard, and get your imagination churning out one unique character after another.This course is led by instructor Owen Lyon-Smith who hopes you’ll say yes (and) to an opportunity to goof off and make things up together!·
Dates: Every Sunday for 10 weeks (4/5, 4/12, 4/19, 4/26, 5/3, 5/10, 5/17, 5/24, 5/31, and 6/7)
Time: 1:30-3:00pm
Price: $150 per student for the entire 10-week course
